Date: 27 august 2014

A provocative video of BJP Member of Parliament Yogi Adityanath exhorting Hindu men to marry 100 Muslim women if one Hindu woman is forcibly converted surfaced online. BJP's Vinay Katiyar: "Why Do Muslims Live In India?"

Date: 07 February 2018

Senior BJP lawmaker Vinay Katiyar said Muslims have "no business being in India" and they should go live in Pakistan or Bangladesh. The 63-year-old Rajya Sabha member -- one of the key campaigners for a Ram temple at the Babri mosque site in Ayodhya - also blamed Muslims for partition and demanded strict punishment for those who don't respect Vande Mataram or the Indian flag. The lawmaker's comment came in the backdrop of the call of Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, for a law that punishes anyone who calls an Indian Muslim a "Pakistani" with a three-year jail term. Mr Owaisi had made the point that calling Indian Muslims Pakistanis was an insult, since they had rejected Mohammad Ali Jinnah's two-nation theory and chose to stay in India. "Muslims should not stay in this country," Mr Katiyar said today. "They have partitioned the country on the basis of population. So why are they here? Muslims have been given their share. They should go to Bangladesh or Pakistan... they have no business being in India."

BJP Legislator Sees Muslim Conspiracy To Take Over India By 2030

Date: 2 january 2018

A ruling BJP MLA in Rajasthan courted controversy by alleging that Muslims were bearing more children with an aim to outnumber Hindus and to take control of the country by 2030. The remarks by Banwari Lal Singhal, an MLA from Alwar, in a Facebook post come ahead of a bypoll to the Alwar parliamentary seat on January 29. "Muslims were giving birth to 12-14 children....while Hindus restrict the number to one or two," the post said

"The way the Muslim population is increasing, the existence of Hindus is in danger. It is a well-planned conspiracy to have a Muslim in the chair of president, prime minister and chief ministers," he said.

"Hindus will become secondary citizens if Muslims become lawmakers," he further alleged.

Asked about his comment, Mr Singhal told PTI: "I wrote the post after a lot of consideration and I am not going to take it down."

He also accused the Muslim community of exploiting government resources and "tax paid by Hindus" and batted for a law to restrict to two the number of children per family.

BJP ally with history of hate speech inducted into Central cabinet

Date: 07 July 2016

Newly-appointed minister of state for health and family welfare Anupriya Patel has already found herself in the midst of a curious controversy. After she was sworn in, earlier tweets from what was believed to be her personal handle created an uproar on social media for their communal content. One of these (in Hindi) read: ‘Crores of rupees have been “sacrificed” on Akhlaq [the Muslim man murdered on suspicion of eating beef] but not even a word for the Hindus of Kairana. This ‘namazvadi’ government is just great!’. Another read: ‘Our own traitors have destroyed us. Otherwise have you ever heard of 100 crores [the numerical strength of Hindus in India] getting scared of 20 crore mullahs [Muslims]’. The tweets, posted from the handle @anupriya_patel, were deleted soon after they started gaining traction after she was sworn in as a minister.  In the meantime, Anupriya Patel filed a police complaint that a fake account under her name was tarnishing her reputation. She specifically named @anupriya_patel as the fake account in the complaint, saying her real twitter handle was @AnupriyaSPatel. However, on the day of Modi’s cabinet reshuffle, union minister of state for commerce and industry Nirmala Sitharaman tagged Patel’s “fake” account while congratulating her, as did union minister for women and child development Maneka Gandhi and several other leaders.  While the “fake” account seems to have been in regular use since August 2014 and has more than 5,000 followers, the account Patel claims is her real one has no tweets or mentions whatsoever and was created only in “July 2016”. What is also not clear is why the operator of the “fake” account should have promptly deleted the two controversial, communal tweets if the purpose of the fakery is to “tarnish her social and political image”.

Only a source of inspiration can be inspirational. Aurangzeb Road has been named after such a great man who, despite being a Muslim, was a nationalist and a humanist, A P J Abdul Kalam. The road has been named after him).” On Thursday, when The Indian Express asked him about his remark, he said: “I only said Kalam was a rashtravadi Muslim.”
